Can your existing Binance account still add a referral code? Answer five questions
Answer five questions and see which option fits: bind a code now, self-rebind, wait for recall, apply to rebind, or none of them. The conditions are the ones on Binance's own pages as of October 2026.
How the checker decides, and what it does not know
The four options it checks
It applies the conditions from three Binance help pages, in this order.
- Bind within 30 days (Referral Pro FAQ): no existing referral, registered within 30 days, no deposit or trade, master account, not flagged for wash trading, and identity details not used on another account in the past 180 days.
- Recall (Affiliates Recall Program FAQ): no inviter ever, account older than 90 days, no trading or product use in the past 90 days, binding through an affiliate’s link after login.
- Self-rebind (Affiliates Rebind Feature FAQ, question 17): an account with no trading history can rebind through an affiliate’s link without an application, so the 150,000 USD condition of the rebind application does not apply to it.
- Rebind application (same FAQ): for accounts that already have trading history; verified, no referrer, master account, under 5,000 USD trading volume in the last 90 days, not flagged, not in a restricted region; the relationship takes effect at 150,000 USD of volume within 30 days of applying.
If the account already has a referrer, none of the four options is open, because Binance’s rule is that an established relationship “cannot be changed or removed”. If your answers contradict each other (no trade ever, but trading volume in the last 90 days), the checker asks you to fix them first.
What it cannot check
Whether you are flagged for wash trading or abnormal activity, whether your identity details were used on another account in the past 180 days, whether the referral programme is supported in your region, and whether the recall feature is live where you are. Those are checked by Binance when you try. A “yes” here means the option is worth trying, not that it will succeed.
Where the rules come from
The conditions are quoted and explained in adding or changing a referral on an existing account, with the official pages, their update dates and the month they were checked. If a page has a newer date than the one given there, the conditions may have changed.
