When a fact is wrong it gets fixed, and the fix gets listed. This page records corrections of substance, not rewording.
What is recorded here
- A rule stated incorrectly: a condition, a waiting period or a step that does not match the official page.
- An official page that has changed, and a guide updated to follow it.
- A worked example with an arithmetic error.
Typos, rephrasing and reordering are not recorded.
How a correction is made
When an error is found or reported, the official page is opened and compared with the guide. If the guide is wrong, the text is changed, the guide’s updated date is moved, and an entry is added here: which guide, what it said, what it says now, and the date.
Record
18 October 2026. Binance updated its email change page on 14 October 2026: after an email change, withdrawals, internal transfers and P2P are now disabled for up to 24 hours, not 48. Changing email or phone, withdrawal suspended, how long verification takes, verification code not received, email or phone for a crypto exchange account, locked out of a Binance account and how to create a Binance account gave 48 hours for an email change; they now give 24. The phone number and 2FA reset pages still say up to 48 hours, and the guides keep that figure for those changes.
18 October 2026. Verification failed said a proof of address must be issued within 3 or 6 months depending on the country. Binance’s validity table also has a 2-month window for one country. The page now says 2, 3 or 6 months.
18 October 2026. How long verification takes said the automatic check finishes in minutes, listed usual causes for a manual review, and listed what triggers a compliance review. None of these is on Binance’s pages. The page now describes what Binance’s privacy portal says about automated checks and manual review on appeal, and what its enhanced due diligence page says, and states that no time is published apart from the 48-hour figure.
18 October 2026. Export your trade history said a closed account cannot produce statements by any route. A Binance page titled “Closed Account Service” appears in search results; it could not be opened for checking, so the guide now mentions it as a route to try, alongside Customer Service, rather than ruling one out.
18 October 2026. How to create a Binance account, before you open an exchange account and verification failed said Binance verification has two levels and that the higher one adds a proof of address and raises limits. Binance’s identity verification page says the verification level determines the account’s trading limit and that a higher level may be needed depending on region or payment channel; it does not describe a two-level structure. The three pages now follow that wording.
14 October 2026. Add a Binance referral code after registration and the referral code checker routed every account past the 30-day window to the rebind application and its 150,000 USD condition. Binance’s rebind FAQ (question 17) says self-rebind is available to accounts with no trading history and the application is for accounts that have traded. Both now describe the self-rebind route, and the checker asks whether the account has traded or only deposited.
14 October 2026. Before you open an exchange account, moved abroad and how to create a Binance account described which regions Binance did or did not serve. Those statements could not be tied to a stable official list, so the pages no longer describe service status by region; they explain how the residence check works and point readers to the sign-up page for their own country.
14 October 2026. The hold after a password reset was given as 24 to 48 hours in changing email or phone, withdrawal suspended, locked out of a Binance account and how long verification takes. Binance’s password reset page (updated 15 April 2026) says 24 hours; the 24 to 48 hour figure is the older reactivation page’s wording for security operations in general. All four now say so.
14 October 2026. How to create a Binance account and verification code not arriving said Binance includes the anti-phishing code in every genuine SMS. Binance’s page says it is attached to certain SMS messages in selected countries. Corrected, with the security log and Binance Verify added as the checks to use instead.
14 October 2026. Can you have two crypto exchange accounts said one verified account per person is the rule on every regulated exchange. Kraken’s account management FAQ permits separate accounts under conditions. The page now says so and describes Kraken’s conditions.
14 October 2026. Locked out of a Binance account advised opening a dormant account once a year. Binance’s terms run the dormancy clock from a notice sent after 90 days without access, so a yearly login does not prevent it; the advice was removed and the clause described instead.
